A new concept from Columbus Hospitality Group is coming soon to Boston’s South End.

The team behind several local hotspots—including Mistral, Sorellina, and Ostra—is preparing to open Gary’s Pizza at 1744 Washington St, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. An official opening date has not yet been announced.

Gary’s social media pages indicate that the eatery will specialize in authentic Roman-style pizza, which is typically characterized by its thick, pan-baked rectangular slices. The menu will also feature sandwiches and desserts.

Columbus Hospitality Group is led by Jamie Mammano, Paul Roiff, and Seth Greenberg. Greenberg—who last year debuted upscale Italian eatery MonteVerdi at The Royal Sonesta in Cambridge—told What Now Boston that Gary’s Pizza is Mammano’s passion project and that Mammano will reach out with additional details soon.
