A Nantucket-based brewery may be expanding to Boston’s Fenway.
Cisco Brewers is planning to bring a new beer hall to the former Tasty Burger space at 1301 Boylston St, according to a Universal Hub report (via Boston Restaurant Talk).
The concept—approved by the Zoning Board of Appeals on Feb. 25, 2025—includes a year-round beer hall and a seasonal beer garden. From April to mid-October, a stage facing Fenway Park would host live music until 8 p.m., with piped-in music continuing until 10:30.
Founded on the island of Nantucket in 1992, Cisco Brewers currently operates locations in Nantucket and New Bedford, along with a seasonal beer garden in Boston’s Seaport District.
The brewery is known for its craft ales and stouts, including favorites like Whale’s Tale Pale Ale, Moor Porter, Captain Swain’s Extra Stout, and Bailey’s Blonde Ale.
Before it can move forward, the proposal will require approval from the Boston Licensing Board. Cisco Brewers CEO Jay Harman told What Now Boston he’ll share more information in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for updates.
