Call Your Mother Deli, a popular shop with locations in four states, will open in Old Town Alexandria at 1300 King St.

The deli, which has seven DC locations, will only offer front-counter service in which customers would grab their orders to go or use the available seating for a brief period of time, according to Alexandria Living Magazine. The deli shop, which will mainly sell bagels and coffee along with other food items, is expected to seat up to 34 people and it will feature 27 bar stools.

Call Your Mother Deli’s co-owner Andrew Dana told What Now DC that the shop might open by the end of the year, depending on permitting. Dana will be running the location along with co-owner and chef Daniela Moreira.

“We have always loved Old Town [Alexandria]. Truly, Old Town has incredible vibes and people. On a beautiful day when everybody is out and walking on the streets, Old Town is simply the best. We like opening shops in areas that we want to spend time in!” Dana told What Now DC.

Dana said that customers can expect to see some “super cool unique things” that will be launched at the new location, but said that further details will be revealed later.
