A new family-owned coffee shop called Connect & Sip Cafe is slated to open at 1320 Prince Street in Alexandria, Virginia.

The coffee shop is the third business owned by the Banks-Harold Family, who also runs a CBD business called Daydreamers Oasis and PIES Fitness & Yoga, according to ALX Now. All three businesses are in close proximity to each other located on Prince St.

The family is hoping to open Connect & Sip Cafe by the fall, but co-owner Gabriel Harold told What Now DC that the coffeeshop is still going through approval processes and is heading to the Board of Architectural Review on September 6.

Harold, who is a native Alexandrian, said that he and his family want the coffee shop to be interconnected with the yoga studio and the CBD business, becoming a cornerstone for the community.

“We want people to connect and speak to each other. The [coffeeshop is opening in an] area that is lacking this nice communal lobby,” Harold said, adding that CBD-infused lattes will be among the coffees offered at Connect & Sip Cafe.
