An innovative, growing Mexican restaurant is bringing fresh, unique flavors to Willow Lawn next year. Taco Bamba, the passion project of chef Victor Albisu, will begin serving Richmond its distinctive Latin and Peruvian fusion cuisine in 2024, reports local media outlet Richmond-Times Dispatch.

The Richmond Taco Bamba will be opening its new location, complete with a full bar and patio, at 1601 Willow Lawn Drive. The company has filed for a liquor license with the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority to serve and sell beer, wine, and mixed beverages. The building will provide seating for up to 100 guests.

While an official opening date is not currently available for Taco Bamba, the official website states the Willow Lawn location is “coming winter 2024”, so residents may be able to enjoy the restaurant’s distinctive dishes within a few months.

Victor Albisu opened the first Taco Bamba in Falls Church in 2013. No two locations share identical menus; the restaurant prides itself on curating the dish selection to each individual neighborhood. However, every Taco Bamba features variations on breakfast, tacos, and bowls.
