A local franchisee is preparing to bring sugar, spice, and everything nice to Northern Virginia. Jessica Papa is opening a Cinnaholic in Herndon this winter, reports local media outlet The Burn.
The bakery, which allows patrons to customize their own cinnamon rolls, is coming to 2451 Centreville Road, Suite 20 at the Village Center at Dulles shopping plaza. Owner Jessica Papa spoke to What Now DC about bringing Cinnaholic to Herndon, stating “I grew up in Northern Virginia. I went to Herndon Elementary and Middle School. I love Herndon- the WO&D trail, the blended hometown/metropolitan feel, and the diversity. I’ve moved around a little, but Northern Virginia has always felt like home to me and I want to invest in my community.”
Running her own franchise allows Papa to bring better, healthier, and fresher options to the region. She explains “I think that our food system needs some major changes ASAP. Cinnaholic has better ingredients as we stay away from eggs, dairy, and anything with cholesterol. We are 100% plant-based and everything is made from scratch and baked in house.”
Customers unfamiliar with Cinnaholic can look forward to a unique and memorable experience. Papa assures prospective regulars that every visit is not only delicious, but interactive and enjoyable for experienced cinnaholics and novices alike. She says “It’s a lot of fun! We have dozens of different frostings and toppings which could make hundreds of combinations to try out. If that sounds overwhelming to some we also have ancillary items like raw cookie dough, dole soft-serve, brownies, and cookies.”
Guests need not worry about exhausting the menu options. The selection varies depending on the time of year. Papa states “We celebrate each season with limited time offerings to fit the flavors of the holidays and weather.”
Cinnaholic will also offer catering, adds Papa. “If anyone wants to be the star at an event they’re attending, then they can grab one of our catered cookie cakes, cinnacakes, baby buns by the dozen, and other large orders.”
Though a precise opening date is not available yet, Herndon citizens can be certain of a sweet and rewarding experience once Cinnaholic opens this winter. Papa welcomes future fans, saying “My focus is to ensure that the Cinnaholic Dulles guests are having a good time.”
