A popular Virginia brewery is bringing one of the most beloved food and drink pairings to the District this winter. Crooked Run Fermentation is joining forces with chef Julian Addison to bring New York style pizza and craft beer to Union Market in February, according to a post from the @eat_dc Twitter feed.
J & J Pizza will be opening at 550 Morse Street Northeast, suite 120. The eatery will be occupying space in Crooked Run’s 3,200 square foot DC taproom, where it will sell pizza by the slice, wings, full New York style pizzas, fries, and salads.
J & J promises to become a DC standard for both families looking for a delicious meal and people hoping for a relaxed night on the town. The pizzeria prioritizes a casual atmosphere, with the website stating J & J will have a “Chill vibe with curated music and vinyl records. Family friendly during the day and switching to chill hangout with late night happy hour.”
Guests aged 21 and over will of course be able to enjoy one of Crooked Run’s beers, ciders, seltzers, or natural wines.
