A boutique ice cream shop is bringing its unique, hand-crafted flavors to Northern Virginia, just in time for spring. Ice Cream Jubilee will be opening a new location at Reston Town Center in April, reports local media outlet FFX Now.

A DC-area favorite, Ice Cream Jubilee will be setting up shop at 11990 Market Street, Unit D. The sweet shop is held and operated by the Picnic Group, whose co-founder and CMO Laura O’Shaughnessy spoke with What Now DC about the Reston location. “We’ve always enjoyed being in Reston Town Center grabbing meals with friends or walking around the beautiful streets.” O’Shaughnessy states, adding, “When this corner shop became available across from the park, we thought it was a perfect home for Ice Cream Jubilee.”

The Northern Virginia location allows more fans to access the brand. O’Shaughnessy explains “Our customers at Ice Cream Jubilee have been actively pushing us to expand in Northern Virginia. We have been very selective about finding great communities and locations, but we love this location in Reston Town Center which is centrally located.”

Reston residents unfamiliar with the Ice Cream Jubilee experience can look forward to a cozy, throwback experience. O’Shaughnessy describes the shop, stating “Ice Cream Jubilee makes ultra premium ice cream with constantly evolving flavors. Our customers love coming in to try our limited time seasonal flavors inspired by childhood nostalgia and the international melting pot of DC .  We also have lots of vegan offerings and will be launching a vegan soft serve when we open in Reston. Our goal is to be a welcoming local, neighborhood ice cream parlor for the Reston community.”

The Ice Cream Jubilee team hopes to begin serving guests by April. The company is currently beginning the demolition and construction necessary to open the shop.
