Delicious sandwiches, quality coffee, and some of Virginia’s favorite carbs are making their way to Brambleton before the end of 2024. BKD Bagels is bringing its fresh and popular cuisine to the Brambleton Corner Plaza later this year, reports local media outlet The Burn.
BKD will be opening its fourth location at 23634 Strickland Drive, in a spot near the Tropical Smoothie Cafe. While the bagel concept’s latest location will offer the menu fans have come to know and love, the owners have further ambitions for the Brambleton storefront. BKD’s leadership intends to make the shop a bagel production hub, where the brand’s signature carbs are baked daily, loaded onto a bagel van, and disseminated to BKD’s three other eateries.
Brambleton residents eager to sample BKD’s hand-rolled, small-batch bagels will need to exercise some patience. Leadership anticipates the development taking most of the year, but are still hoping to open before 2025.
Co-owner Tony Davis explains the company’s motivations, stating “The primary goal is to provide an incredibly consistent and repeatable experience at any of our shops you choose to go to.”
Future BKD regulars can look forward to enjoying meals ranging from the very simple, like a bagel and a schmear, to the most elaborate sandwich they can cobble from the eatery’s wide selection of offered ingredients. Visitors can slake their thirst with an assortment of coffees, teas, and juices, as well as mimosas for those seeking something a bit more adult.
BKD is currently serving patrons out of its stores in Downtown Leesburg and Purcellville. In addition to the impending Brambleton location, the brand will be opening another Leesburg eatery later this year.
