According to DBusiness Magazine, Portillo’s is expanding its footprint in Michigan with an anticipated 2nd location in Livonia’s Millennium Park located at I-96 and Middlebelt, anticipated to open in the first half of 2024.

The famous brand first brought Chicago-style hotdogs, Italian beef sandwiches, and cheesy fries to Michigan in Sterling Heights in 2021. Since then, Portillo’s has received overwhelmingly positive responses from the local community, and plans for a second location naturally fell into place.

The Liviani Portillo’s will feature a garage theme, the brand’s iconic pickup area, and double drive-thru lanes. For dining-in, the 7,900-square-foot restaurant has a capacity of more than 175 people with an outside patio with approximately an additional 50 guests.

For those who do not want to wait, sign up to be at the front of the line when Portillo’s Livonia gives away their free sneak peek training meal. Meanwhile, individuals looking for career opportunities can keep an eye open at Portillo’s career page as the Livonia location will be hiring for managers and shift leaders soon.

At the time of this coverage, a spokesperson from the corporation did not respond to What Now Media‘s request for commentary.
