Chick-fil-A will open its first restaurant in Fort Gratiot on Thursday, Nov. 7, the latest opening in the restaurant company’s expansion across Michigan.

Located at 4783 24th Ave., Chick-fil-A Fort Gratiot will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Chick-fil-A Fort Gratiot is locally owned and operated by Ryan Weston. Ryan, having spent most of his childhood in Clarkston, MI, Ryan was first introduced to Chick-fil-A in his early 20’s, when he and his wife made a special road trip to the closest Chick-fil-A to try the famous chicken sandwich. Passionate about the restaurant company’s signature hospitality, Ryan served in a senior leadership role for three years in a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Now, Ryan is grateful to be back in Michigan to open the very first Chick-fil-A in Fort Gratiot alongside his wife and seven children, two of whom will serve as Team Members in the restaurant.

Ryan is honoring 100 local heroes with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.

To celebrate the opening of the new restaurant, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief in the area. Ryan’s restaurant will participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program to donate surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. Ryan will employ approximately 125 full-and part-time Team Members.
