Authentic Greek Food and Salad Chain to Open in Troy

Modern Greek and Salad Bar, a Michigan-based fast-casual chain featuring Greek dishes and Mediterranean salads, is working on a new location in Troy at 1475 W Big Beaver Rd. Sam Haidar, Modern Greek’s co-owner, confirmed with What Now Detroit that he hopes to open the Troy location no later than next January, stating that the location is nearly ready and is only awaiting final inspections from the city and the health department.

Modern Greek & Salad Bar currently have locations in Dearborn and in Detroit’s Food Field. Troy will be the chain’s 3rd fast-casual location. The chain features an extensive menu including everything from appetizers to full entrees to grab-and-go salads, bowls, wraps, burgers, and gyros.

“From classic souvlaki to mouthwatering gyros, our menu is bursting with authentic Greek dishes with the finest ingredients and authentic recipes with a modern twist,” stated the chain’s website. In addition to dine-in and grab-and-go, Modern Greek & Salads Bar also offers delivery and catering options.

The upcoming Troy location sits in a commercial complex anchored by L-Z-Boy Home Furnishing & Decor. Adjacent businesses include a gym called F45 Training and home healthcare provider Ability Plus HHC in the same building, and Gorman’s Furniture on the opposite corner of the lot.
