Happy Lemon, a nationwide bubble tea shop, will soon take up residence in what was once Vatsana’s Thai Restaurant, at 9025 25th Ave SW, according to Franchisee Tina Huynh who confirmed the plans in a telephone interview with What Now Seattle. Huynh was not able to comment further when reached out on Monday.

According to a permit filed with the City of Seattle, the space, inside the Westwood Village Shopping Center, is a total of 1,059 square feet and no major alterations will take place despite the $40,000 construction slated to be done.

The Happy Lemon franchise was born in 2006 and is “The Originator of Cheese Foam Tea” as their website happily proclaims. They boast healthy and fresh drinks typical of a bubble tea shop with stores across the country, including Northern California, San Diego, Texas, Hawaii, and soon totaling 20 in Washington.
