Relay Bake Shop will soon open under the Relay Restaurant Group umbrella, at 4106 Stone Way N., under the direction of Chefs Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi.
Relay Bake Shop will be designed as a café and restaurant, according to a permit filed recently with the city. Construction is estimated to cost a little over $200,000 — and the space is estimated at 925 square feet.
Although Yang and Chirchi are keeping further details sealed at this time, Chirchi tells What Now Seattle that among their current restaurant operating duties, Yang is currently meeting with the government to be a part of a special chefs group that’s designed to help with diplomat visits.
The Chef couple first met in New York City working together in a kitchen before eventually combining forces and creating Relay Restaurant Group, according to their website.
Under their Group they have both their current restaurants, Joule and Revel. Their website also says, “Since 2007, the husband-and-wife team has built successful restaurants based on a wildly creative vision that combines their shared love of bold, unexpected Asian flavors with classic, rigorous technique.”
