According to Austin Eater, a new poke shop is coming to San Antonio.

Taking over a spot at 18427 Rim Drive, Suite 106, Poke-Poke will land near establishments such as McDonald’s, Mi Familia at the Rim, and Whataburger.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the concept’s co-owner, Jason McVearry, to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Poke-Poke, the concept “started in a food window on the Venice Beach Boardwalk in 2010. Husband and wife team, Jason McVearry and Trisha Fortuna developed the unique made-to-order style of poke reflective of traditional Hawaiian poke as Jason experienced during his days living on Oahu,” according to the eatery’s website.

“Since opening Poke-Poke in 2010, poke has become a major food trend infiltrating every major city from coast to coast. Based in Austin now, Poke-Poke is still 100% family-owned and operated by Jason McVearry, Trisha Fortuna, and of course, our newest family owner-member, Trevlyn McVearry, who is in charge of Acai Bowl Tasting,” the statement continues.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Poke-Poke on Facebook for updates.
