According to recent reporting in OBJ, the location for the much-awaited White Castle has been set.

The popular burger chain will break ground April 9 for a restaurant in Clermont.

“The 3,220-square-foot restaurant will rise in Plaza Collina, near the intersection of State Road 50 and Plaza Collina Boulevard,” the report states.

Reportedly, the location will have two drive-thru lanes, create about 75 jobs and likely open in late summer, the OBJ states, citing Orlando-based Bisbee & Co. President Jennifer Bisbee, a public relations rep for White Castle.

White Castle Vice President Jamie Richardson told Orlando Business Journal the Plaza Collina project anchored by a new 156,000-square-foot Costco wholesale warehouse, are “a great fit in terms of where we know our customers are.”

“The more we’ve explored it, the more excited we’ve become. We know [Plaza Collina] is a central point where people are coming to spend time and shop.”

White Castle will neighbor Floor & Decor, Bojangles, Mattress Warehouse and under-construction locations for Dick’s Sporting Goods and Fifth Third Bank, as well as a “neighboring apartment complex.”

No opening date has been announced.
