Sheetz Submits Plans to Open a Second Dayton Area Location, in Kettering

The proposed 6,139 square foot store will have a drive-thru, electric vehicle charging stations and 44 parking spaces.

According to recent reporting, the gas station, convenience store and eatery Sheetz wants to construct a new location at 1490 W Dorothy Ln in Kettering. According to the article, the proposed 6,139 square foot store will have a drive-thru, six electric vehicle charging stations and 44 parking spaces. 

Although the Kettering planning commission denied the chain’s plans for the construction of the new location, the project is slated to appear before a public hearing via the city council over the next several weeks where the project will receive either an approval or rejection vote. 

With over 700 locations across Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania and Ohio, the chain is growing throughout the Dayton and Columbus area. According to information on its website, Sheetz is a family owned convenience store chain based in Altoona, Pennsylvania that has been operating for more than 70 years.

Sheetz sells fast casual options that are made to order and the menu includes things like hot dogs, burgers, fries, tacos and breakfast options. Additionally, there are a number of drinks to choose from, including smoothies, milkshakes, lattes, hot chocolate and drip coffee.
