Cakes & Ale moving forward with relocating Decatur bakery to Inman Park development under new name.

The bakery and cafe at Cakes & Ale will soon open as Bread & Butterfly in the Inman Quarter (IQ) mixed-use development in Inman Park, at 299 North Highland Ave NE.

Kristin Allin, co-owner of the Decatur restaurant, submitted a building permit application to City of Atlanta Wednesday to buildout the new bakery’s storefront.

An estimated $100,000 will be spent on the “build out for exterior storefront, steel structure and glass, wood, awnings, planters to enclose patio,” according to the application.

Bread will join Bill Hallman, MF Sushi, Bartaco, Ford Fry and Cacao at IQ, the project’s website notes.
