Focus Brands Looks to Open Toco Hills Jamba and Auntie Anne’s Under One Roof

Focus Brands has filed a special use permit for a building in Toco Hills. The Atlanta-based, Roark Capital Group affiliate plans to build an Auntie Anne’s and Jamba restaurant combo in the 1,261 square-foot space, which used to house a Wingstop Restaurant. 

The plans filed by Focus Brands for 2933 North Druid Hills Rd prominently feature a drive-thru in the space. In their Letter of Intent and Impact Analysis, the company writes “as our country continues to experience the impacts of a pandemic and residents are being urged to physically distance, the benefits and importance of drive through facilities has been highlighted.”

“Even prior to the pandemic,” the statement continues, “drive through facilities provide a beneficial option for residents with physical and mobility impairments and families with children.” 

Focus Brands, anticipating a smooth application process, preemptively argued that refusal to approve the company’s permit would be “unconstitutional and discriminate in an arbitrary, capricious and unreasonable manner,” as a nearby Wendy’s offers similar floor plans. 

Focus Brands acquired Auntie Anne’s in 2010 and Jamba Juice in 2018, which they renamed Jamba in 2019. They also own Carvel, Cinnabon, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Schlotsky’s, and McAlister’s Deli.
