Moe’s Original Bar B Que is permanently closing its doors in Home Park, at 349 14th St NW. The restaurant’s Franchisees Brett and Brian Mancuso announced the news this week on Facebook.

“…It has been a great ride but now it is time to move on to other projects,” the duo wrote. “We would like to offer our sincerest thanks and deepest gratitude for everyone’s support over the years.”

Brett Mancuso over the weekend did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Moe’s Original Bar B Que was founded by three Alabama restaurateurs: Ben Gilbert from Athens, Mike Fernandez from Tuscaloosa, and Jeff Kennedy from Huntsville, according to the franchise’s website.

Moe’s Original Bar B Que has over 60 locations coast to coast. The Home Park outpost debuted in 2011 and was the first for the Atlanta area. According to the restaurant’s website, a location “coming soon” to Columbus, GA, will join locations in Peachtree Corners and Rome.

  • Not happy about this. Does that leave only one in the vicinity of Alpharetta? And then Rome? Please say there are more. I go back a long way with knowing this brand. Quality food EVERY time!
