East Coast Street Tacos, a New York City-based Latin American eatery with a handful of locations, is opening its first franchise in Georgia, Founder Ruben Angarita recently announced on LinkedIn. “Lease was signed yesterday…,” Angarita wrote. “2022, first franchise coming Soon!”
East Coast Street Tacos will be housed in Acworth, at 3365 Acworth Oaks Dr., Scoop OTP was first to report this week. Co-Franchisee Juan Velez confirmed the news in a text to What Now Atlanta but was not immediately available to comment further.
“Georgia hold on to your peaches …we’re coming,” the growing restaurant brand this week announced on its Instagram page. In addition its street eats menu, the Acworth location will be home to a tequila bar, Angarita told Scoop.
“At East Coast Street Tacos, we know that food is the language that connects us all,” according to the company’s website. “Our passion for street food is what inspires us to bring the finest foods with the freshest ingredients to the streets of New York. We took delicious street foods from various central and south American countries and combined them along with some of our very own mouth-watering creations.”
East Coast Street Tacos serves tacos, a hand-rolled burrito, and a flat iron quesadilla. Sides include Yucca fries, arepas, plantains, and nachos.
