A new location of Mirko Pasta will open early next year at Town Brookhaven, according to owner Mirko Di Giacomantonio.
“We signed a lease two weeks ago, and we start construction in probably two weeks,” Di Giacomantonio said in a phone call this week.
The Italian restaurant will take about 3,000 square feet at the mixed-use project on Peachtree Road, which is anchored by Costco, Publix and LA Fitness.
The hope is to open Mirko Pasta in January or February.
“That area is growing so much,” Di Giacomantonio said of Brookhaven. “It’s very vibrant … I love it.”
The menu at Mirko Pasta features fresh, homemade pasta such as rigatoni, fusilli, penne, gnocchi, pappardelle, ravioli, fettuccine and more. It also has more than a dozen sauces from pomodoro to bolognese, carbonara, pesto and alfredo.
In Brookhaven, Di Giacomantonio said the menu will add Neapolitan pizza for the first time.
Mirko Pasta launched in 2011 and currently has three locations: Marietta, Buckhead and Nashville.
Di Giacomantonio is a native of Tortoreto, Italy, who learned to cook by watching his maternal grandmother, according to Mirko Pasta’s website.
“When people come to Mirko Pasta, I want them to feel like I felt when I went to my grandma’s house,” says the website. “Enjoying a delicious meal served up with love in an environment filled with enthusiasm, joy, and passion.”
Di Giacomantonio previously helped launch Figo Pasta in Atlanta.
