A new cafe expected to open this summer plans to bring healthy eats and smiles to the people of Atlanta.

It’s a Vibe Cafe is planned for 2051 Metropolitan Pkwy SW, only a few miles south of Downtown Atlanta.

“My sister started a cafe in this location eight years ago,” owner Frederica Gaddis told What Now Atlanta. “I came to help out when covid started and fell in love with the food, the people, the new customers that just walked in, just the awesome people I would meet everyday.”

The menu of It’s a Vibe Cafe will include salads, wraps, rice bowls, croissants, chicken and seafood options, as well as nutritious cold-pressed juices. Expect some menu additions and specials to pop up, keeping visitors on their toes.

“You’ll never know what you might find, but good food and good laughs will always be there,” Gaddis said.

Gaddis told What Now Atlanta the location is in a prime spot for gathering, relaxing and grabbing a convenient bite to eat. The cafe will offer free wifi for studying or working, and call-ahead orders will be accepted for extra convenience.

“Being that we’re so close to Tyler Perry Studios, Downtown Atlanta and several colleges, this is the perfect place to have a space where any and everyone can come as they are,” she said.

As part of the mission to be a place of gathering, community and southern hospitality, the cafe is planning to host a variety of events, making it a place of activities for children during the day, while also offering a late-night lounge atmosphere for adults.

“It’s a Vibe Cafe will be like your fun auntie’s house that you used to love to go to,” Gaddis said.

The eatery is expected to open June 4, 2024.
