Casse Cou has filed paperwork for a liquor license for a space on the second and third floor of 453 West 17th Street. The spot will be “an exclusive private members-only club where mystery, indulgence and discretion reign in the heart of New York City’s Meatpacking District,” according to the Casse Cou website.
“Veiled behind a grand, Parisian-inspired facade, Casse Cou redefines the private club experience with bold, avant-garde design and an air of untamed allure. Brought to you by nightlife visionaries Stephen V. Orso and Andrei Gillott, the club is a meticulously curated world where music, art and gourmet culture collide — designed solely for its hand-selected members,” the Casse Cou website states.
The spot will offer intimate dining experiences, with menu items such as tuna tartare, yellowtail jalapeno, roasted chicken and Chilean seabass. The design will be influenced by Parisian nightlife, with both interior architectural designer Nicole Fuller and French artist Pierre Marie involved in the branding and design.
Paperwork lists Amanda and Stephen Orso, and Hugh and Tri Nguyen, as the members of the LLC behind the concept.
Plans call for 49 tables with 164 seats as well as two bars with six seats on the second floor. On the third floor, there will be 21 tables with 113 seats as well as one bar with eight seats. The proposed hours of operation are 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
“Whether you’re savoring a private dinner, discovering a hidden moment or engaging in a late-night conversation that lingers long after the music fades, Casse Cou is an invitation into a world where the night belongs to you—and only you,” the website states.
At this time, an exact opening timeline has not been revealed.
