Lidl U.S. has announced its plans to open a grocery store in the Williamsburg neighborhood in Brooklyn. The store at 573 Grand Street will open on Wednesday, August 26. The store will bring the retailer’s selection of groceries, imported specialties, and local fresh products to the community.
Lidl Announces Williamsburg Opening
Lidl’s new Brooklyn store will offer quality, value, and convenience to shoppers. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 7:40 a.m., followed by opening-day promotions for early shoppers. The store will open every day from 8 am to 9 pm giving residents a spot to get their daily groceries.
Opening-day offerings will include fresh baked goods, including the retailer’s signature croissants. The store will carry private-label products, imported goods, fresh produce, meat, dairy, and pantry staples.
The opening day will feature exclusive savings and an opportunity to experience Lidl’s award-winning shopping format. Customers can also sign up for the Lidl Plus rewards program, which provides digital coupons and member discounts.
What to Expect at the New Location
The Williamsburg store will offer many of the features found across Lidl’s U.S. locations. There will be an in-store bakery, which will bake bread and pastries throughout the day. A streamlined layout design will make shopping quick and efficient.
Weekly perks are another attraction for shoppers visiting Lidl. There will be Wednesday grocery deals, Friday-to-Sunday “Weekend Super Sale” offers, and Monday specials featuring non-food items such as kitchen accessories, seasonal décor, and household products.
Lidl’s Special Guest bakery program will feature seasonal bakery specialties for the Brooklyn opening, such as the Toffee Pecan Cookie, Brookie, Blueberry Scone, and Brownie Pop.
