Health inspectors from the Southern Nevada Health District carried out routine inspections across Las Vegas on Wednesday. Two caterers failed the health inspection due to multiple violations, including sanitation concerns and failure to follow proper food protection protocols.

Taco Bueno Catering provides catering services for various events, including weddings and corporate functions.

However, Taco Bueno Catering failed a health inspection by SNHD on April 23. Food inspectors noted that the Las Vegas-based establishment did not have proper handwashing supplies. The staff was preparing food without wearing gloves. Additionally, they did not follow the SNHD’s set temperature requirements while cooking.

Different equipment at Taco Bueno Catering was rusty and needed repair. Food inspectors also observed that the Las Vegas eatery did not do anything to prevent cross-contamination of food items. The caterers did not wash the fruits/vegetables before using them.

A1 Mobile Catering LLC could not make it through the inspection of SNHD on April 23. Food officials first observed that sewage was not disposed of at the Las Vegas-based catering facility. The food contact surfaces were also found to be dirty.

Inspectors then noted that the equipment at A1 Mobile Catering LLC was not properly sanitized.

The Las Vegas food establishment did not follow any method to remove wastewater as well.

The food inspectors further highlighted that physical facilities were not maintained well at A1 Mobile Catering LLC.
