An eatery that brings authentic New Orleans cuisine to Atlanta is cooking up a new location.
D’Juan’s New Orleans Bistro is working on a new space in Smyrna at 4600 W Village Place. The space at Highlands of West Village will be next to Zama Mexican Cuisine Cuisine & Margarita Bar.
The restaurant’s original location can be found in the Vinings area at 3300 Cobb Parkway SE. The restaurant, with a “Greetings From NOLA” sign adorning the interior wall, opened in March 2023. The menu includes New Orleans-style cuisine, including po’ boys, catfish, jambalaya, fried chicken, beignets and more. Visitors have praised the restaurant’s attentive service and flavorful food, with many highlighting the oysters, the crawfish mac and cheese and the stuffed crab cake egg rolls.
The concept comes from entrepreneur and New Orleans native Donald Williams. Williams began his culinary career working in several dining establishments, eventually helping to open several restaurants. Now with D’Juan’s New Orleans Bistro, Williams aims to share “his love of food with his local community.”
“His life-long passion for preparing and eating great food motivated him to build, operate, and own a restaurant,” according to the restaurant website.
Williams is also working on a new sister restaurant called Blake’s Oyster Bar. In addition to his culinary pursuits, Williams is also the founder of an accounting firm called Williams Accounting and Consulting.
The new location of D’Juan’s New Orleans Bistro is expected to be larger and have a more “upscale” atmosphere than the first. It is expected to open this winter.
