A local Thai restaurant is moving to a new location.

Thai Delight Kitchen & Sushi Bar is in the works at 1142 Athens Highway, according to a recent building permit application with Gwinnett County for the renovation of the space. The scope of work includes cutting and removing two non-load bearing interior walls and cosmetic renovations for the rest of the dining space.

Thai Delight Kitchen was previously located in Decatur. The menu includes Thai favorites like pad thai, featuring stir-fried rice noodles, eggs and a choice of protein tossed in a tamarind sauce and garnished with toppings like peanuts and bean sprouts.

“We’re so excited to be a part of the Grayson community in our new location!” the restaurant said in a social media post. They are targeting a soft opening in July. The new location will feature dine-in seating and a full bar menu.

Thai Delight Grayson LLC was first created in February 2025, according to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.

Cooper Village is is a 35,735-square-foot retail center built in 2007. Other food tenants include Ionie’s Island Kitchen, Nawlins Praline Candy & More, and Domino’s Pizza.
