Frida’s Taqueria, a family-owned taqueria that serves authentic Tijuana-style street tacos in San Diego County, is preparing to open a new location at 532 Fourth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter.

The company recently submitted documents to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality to open a new location in the former home of Taco El Cabron. It’s unclear when this location will open, but customers can expect the same fast-casual service and menu favorites found at its existing spots. Each location aims to deliver authentic street-style tacos in a lively, neighborhood-friendly setting.

Frida’s Taqueria offers a menu centered around authentic Tijuana-style street food. Customers can choose from various tacos, including carne asada, adobada, birria, and papa con chorizo. Other options include burritos, quesatacos, mulitas, and tortas. Aguas frescas and fries are also available as sides. All items are made with fresh ingredients and cooked to order.

This will be an excellent location for the new Frida’s Taqueria. There’s always foot traffic, especially with all the bars, events, and tourists in the area, so it’s a great place to attract new customers. Plus, people downtown are always looking for quick, flavorful food—especially late at night—and Frida’s fits that vibe perfectly. It’s the kind of place that thrives in a busy, energetic neighborhood like this.
