Makenna Koffee plans to open at 2736 Garnet Ave. in San Diego’s Pacific Beach neighborhood, according to license records from the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality. The company has not yet announced an opening date.
Makenna also plans to open in El Cajon in fall 2026. What Now San Diego reported in April that the company was pursuing a location at 1275 Broadway.
Lance Clauson launched Makenna Koffee in Simi Valley in 2019. The company now operates several locations across California, including shops in Camarillo, Orange, Oxnard, Ventura, Valencia, and Westlake Village. Outside the state, it has a location in Davenport, Iowa.
The menu offers espresso drinks, cold brew, matcha, chai, teas, refreshers, smoothies, dirty sodas, and energy drinks. Specialty drinks include the Sandy Blonde, The Legend, Maui Latte, and Horchata Latte.
