A Vietnamese café concept with a loyal following in San Marcos is expanding to Escondido. According to public filings, BewBew Home Cafe plans to open at 1022 W. El Norte Parkway.
Operating under its parent brand, Oh My Pate, BewBew Home Cafe has built a following in San Marcos with a menu rooted in Vietnamese café culture. The concept offers freshly baked banh mi baguettes, sugarcane juice, Vietnamese coffee, boba tea, matcha drinks, and a curated selection of Vietnamese-inspired flavors, with an emphasis on freshness and authenticity.
What Now San Diego reached out to owner Soudalath Naosavath, who confirmed that the café is targeting a January 2027 grand opening. “The team is in the final stages of preparation, decorating the space, training staff, and installing signage ahead of the full launch,” she said.
The café’s existing location at 1252 E. Mission Road in San Marcos is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Escondido location is expected to follow the same model.
According to Naosavath, customer feedback helped drive the decision to expand into Escondido.
“We are very close with our customers. They always suggested if we could open in Escondido. We try our best to be the home café for our customers, one in every city in North County San Diego. We finally found the space and made it our second location,” she said.
The new location will bring the concept to Escondido’s W. El Norte Parkway corridor. BewBew Home Cafe’s expansion follows a broader pattern of local food and beverage businesses growing beyond their original North County markets. What Now San Diego has previously covered the third location of Batch & Box in San Marcos.
