After a successful launch at 3390 N Williston Rd in Florence, Buc-ee’s, the iconic gas-station-plus-convenience-store-plus-restaurant brand, looks to be continuing its South Carolina expansion with a new location planned for Summerville.

“Buc-ee’s Summerville SC is Buc-ee’s continued South Carolina expansion following the successful Florence SC location,” says coverage on BuceesLocations.us. “Located along [the] Interstate 26 corridor in Dorchester County near Charleston metro area, this proposed store enters the Lowcountry market with 74,000 sq ft mega-format design, 116+ fuel pumps, complete 215+ Buc-ee’s menu including brisket sandwiches ($9.77) and Beaver Nuggets ($5.73), award-winning restrooms, and 24/7 operations.”

Born in 1982, “always-open” gas station and fast-food chain Buc-ee’s has been building a cult following for years, and that popularity has recently reached what could almost be described as a fever pitch.

As BuceesLocations.us notes, Summerville is right “at the strategic gateway to Charleston tourism (7 million annual visitors) and Lowcountry beaches.” The new location would pick up traffic from coastal tourism and transit between Charleston and Columbia on I-26.

“Ever since our inception in 1982, we have been committed to providing a clean, friendly, and in stock experience for our customers. Regardless of where you may find us, if the store is big or small, near or far, the mission remains the same.”
