Back in January 2025, What Now reported on plans for the fast-casual salad franchise Salata Salad Kitchen to make its South Carolina debut. After a long wait, that debut is finally about to happen on Woodruff Road in Greenville. Franchisee Brian Leachman, who is expanding the brand in partnership with Keri Leachman, told What Now on Wednesday that the opening is planned for November.

Leachman added that, once the Greenville opening is accomplished, two more locations are under contract. One of them is planned for Myrtle Beach, the other for Charleston, bringing Salata Salad Kitchen to the Atlantic Coast.

“Born in the tunnels of downtown Houston, Salata started with one simple idea: that freshness could change how people feel, one salad at a time,” says the Salata website. “With over 50 fresh toppings and a dozen signature dressings to choose from on our menu, we give you the freedom to build your salad or wrap however you like, so you can eat, feel, and live the way you want.”

On top of its being a convenient and healthy choice, Salata’s customizable menu is one of its strongest selling points.

“We wanted to expand into something that had more food options, but it’s difficult to find anything that’s fairly quick service that’s good for you,” Keri Leachman told What Now in 2025. “That’s how we found Salata. We absolutely love the product. Salata offers a completely customizable dining experience that empowers our guests to create meals that fit their personality and lifestyle.”

Specific Myrtle Beach and Charleston sites have not yet been revealed.
