A popular local breakfast eatery is relocating to Grant Park.

Bomb Biscuit is planning to move to 519 Memorial Drive, at the Larkin on Memorial development. The company announced in an Instagram post that they’re “headed just a few minutes down the street to Grant Park and are very excited about what’s to come!”

Bomb Biscuit has been located in the Old Fourth Ward at 668 North Highland Avenue Northeast. The menu features a variety of biscuit sandwiches, including the Glori-Fried Chicken Biscuit – buttermilk fried chicken drizzled with honey butter and pickles. The restaurant also serves breakfast plates like pancakes, eggs, chicken and waffles, and more. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.

Bomb Biscuit began as a pop-up dinner series that founder Erika Council hosted around the city. Bomb Biscuit went on to collaborate with Bryan Furman at B’s Cracklin BBQ, serving breakfast at the now-closed restaurant in Riverside, before opening at a small kitchen in the Old Fourth Ward in 2020.

“Through the years we have grown at a rapid pace that’s unimaginable. All thanks to the customers that have support our little biscuit kitchen that could,” according to the website. “We now make thousands of biscuits a week and serve an array of breakfast and brunch options while still keeping it fresh from scratch daily.”

The New York Times included Bomb Biscuit on their list of of the country’s 50 best restaurants in 2023.

It’s not yet clear when exactly the existing location will close, but UATL by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the relocation is expected to take place in June. The news outlet reports that the relocation is a result of not being able to come to an agreement with the landlord, with Bomb Biscuit unsuccessfully attempting to purchase the building.

The new space is about 2,600 square feet and will have indoor seating for 65 diners and outdoor seating for at least 20 people. Some additional lunch items are expected to be added to the menu.

Bomb Biscuit is also eyeing expansion to additional locations, with an eye on franchising.
