Moda Cafe is officially making its way to the Lone Star State. Plans are now in motion for a new location at 18321 W Airport Blvd #210 in Richmond with permits confirming a substantial renovation to convert the space into a full-service restaurant.
The project, valued at $600,000, outlines a full interior build-out of a 3,594-square-foot shell retail space. It is described in the filing as a “tenant fit out of shell retail space for use as a restaurant,” and the scope suggests a ground-up transformation that will likely bring the same polished, modern aesthetic the brand is known for.
This expansion implies the brand is doing quite well in its home state of Virginia and will mark their first location of Moda Cafe for Texas It is speculated that they will bring their Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine with them come time for the opening.
Yusuf Sayan, Director of Operations, told What Now Houston that there currently were no other details being released, which leaves the menu, design, and concept specifics for the Richmond location a current mystery until they release further information as things become more finalized.
Construction is scheduled to begin in June 2025 with a completion aimed for September 2025.
