Beginnings and Success of Dave’s Hot Chicken
The chicken joint’s journey started in May 2017 when a few childhood friends joined hands for the venture. Arman Oganesyan, Dave Kopushyan, Gary Rubenyan, and Tommy Rubenyan opened the food place in Los Angeles. The venture, which was then an East Hollywood parking lot-based pop-up, is now spread over 300+ outlets.
Originally offering just a hot chicken combo plate, the menu has since expanded to tenders, sliders, fries, mac ‘n’ cheese, and slaw.
Celebrity backers include Drake, Maria Shriver, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Strahan, and Tom Werner.
The Baton Rouge location marks the latest of the chain’s roughly 300 outlets. Chicken lovers can visit the new spot starting Friday, just in time for the weekend.
