The Hub Stapley Closes Doors for an Indefinite Period
A local restaurant and sports grill chain closed its Stapley Drive-based location on Friday, June 20. The Hub Grill and Bar shared the news with the patrons of the Phoenix metro area through an Instagram post.
Mesa Fire and Medical, assisted by Gilbert Fire, responded to 1860 S. Stapley Drive in Mesa. They found heavy smoke and flames in the restaurant’s roof area of The Hub Stapley. Patrons and staff were evacuated, and the fire was extinguished without it spreading any further.
Restaurant to Work on Damage Repair
The food establishment stated that nobody was hurt in the fire. But it was closing the Stapley location for an indefinite period to continue with the repair process. The Hub Grill and Bar ended the Instagram post by assuring patrons that it would keep them updated on the progress.
Previous Fire Incident at The Hub Grill and Bar
The chain suffered a fire on New Year’s Eve 2020 at its Sossaman & Baseline location near Sossaman and Baseline Roads, and faced fire damage.
Mesa Fire Department reported no injuries in either the 2020 or 2025 fire. However, the Easy Valley restaurant closed for almost 30 months to perform the repair process.
Operations to Continue in Three Other East Valley Locations
There is some relief for loyal fans of The Hub Grill and Bar amid the recent fire damage at Stapley Drive. Its latest Instagram post states that the popular East Valley restaurant chain will keep serving happy hour food and craft beers at the following locations.
