A new surf and turf restaurant is preparing to make a splash in Clinton.

Daddy Shark Seafood and Steakhouse is slated to open later this month at 625 U.S. 80, taking over the former Dairy Queen location. The Mississippi Department of Health approved the opening on July 7.

While the full menu has yet to be released, the restaurant’s Facebook page teases a “new concept of flavor” and promises “moments of joy within your grasp.”

Owner Luis Perez told What Now Memphis the steakhouse is targeting a late July opening but did not share additional details. This story may be updated.

Daddy Shark will join a handful of seafood and steak spots in the area. New Orleans Grill serves seafood, steaks, pasta, and burgers, while 303 Jefferson in Old Town is known for its nightly surf and turf offerings. Monte’s Steak and Seafood also offers a variety of steak and seafood dishes in a casual setting. Other nearby options, such as T’Beaux’s Crawfish and Captain D’s, focus exclusively on seafood.
