Hawaii’s Zippy’s Expands Again in Southern Nevada
Zippy’s has been a Hawaii staple for decades, serving as a go-to spot for family gatherings. The brand uses locally sourced ingredients, from Hawaii-grown beef to island-farmed produce.
The new Henderson restaurant, located at 9570 S. Eastern Avenue, is also hiring across multiple positions. The brand is celebrated for its signature chili, popular bentos like the “Zip Pac”, saimin, and plate lunches.
Offers on Grand Opening
To celebrate, Zippy’s will offer its popular Korean Fried Chicken Plate for $9.99, down from the regular $15.45.
The limited-time special will be available at all the locations in Hawaii and Nevada starting from September 8 up to September 21.
The dish features crispy fried chicken topped with a sweet-and-salty garlic sauce, served Korean-style with rice and mac salad. It is usually served with two scoops of rice and mac salad.
Brothers Francis and Charles Higa opened the first Zippy’s on South King Street in Honolulu 58 years ago. The brand’s name is a nod to the ZIP code system that is symbolic of the restaurant’s quick service.
Today, Zippy’s operates 25 locations across Oahu, Maui, Hawaii Island, and Southern Nevada. It opened its very first location outside of Hawaii in Las Vegas in 2023.
The third Southern Nevada location will introduce more locals to Zippy’s signature island flavors.
