Smash burgers will be arriving in Berkley at a new late-night spot.
The Detroit News recently reported on a new late-night smash burger restaurant called Buns & Patties opening in the suburb this fall. This is coming to 2375 Coolidge Highway in Berkley. According to co-owner Mark Isakov, there is not an opening date, but the company is shooting for late fall.
Isakov has been working on the new concept with his childhood friends David Pinkhasov and Vlad Shamayev. Growing up as Jewish immigrants in Metro Detroit, the three have been working in the restaurant industry for over 10 years. They were recently able to secure the new building in March.
“This has been a childhood dream,” Isakov told What Now Detroit.
The smash burgers will of course be the main attraction on the menu, but there will also be the fried chicken sandwich, fries and soft-serve sundaes. The Detroit New reported short rib grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken tenders are also to be served.
The restaurant will be open late, until 1 a.m. during the week and 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with online ordering available. The inside will have the capacity for 30 seats. Like the menu, details on the hours of operation will be released at a later date.
Right now, the business is listed as “coming soon” on their website. For more information on Buns & Patties, visit their website bunsandpatties.com.
