Epic Wings, a fast-casual chicken wing restaurant known for its made-to-order wings and scratch-made sides, is preparing to open a new location in San Diego at 6025 Village Way.
The company’s newest location is set to open in The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch, according to documents submitted to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. While an official opening date has not yet been announced, this location will be led by franchise owner Bianca Sacco. Customers can expect Epic Wings’ full menu of fresh, never-frozen tenderloin strips, classic wings, signature sauces, and house-made sides.
What Now San Diego previously reported that Bianca Sacco is also behind the upcoming Rancho San Diego location, marking the first Epic Wings location in the Rancho San Diego area. The Pacific Highlands Ranch unit represents further growth for the family-operated chain in the company’s home city.
Menu offerings at Epic Wings include single and double wings or tender meals with breadsticks, family-style packs, Epic Fries, and signature Pizza Sticks. All meals are served with homemade dipping sauces, including ranch, chipotle ranch, and blue cheese, as well as fresh vegetables such as carrots and celery. Popular sauces range from mild Buffalo to garlic Parmesan and Atomic heat.
Epic Wings launched initially in San Diego in 1982 under the name Wings N’ Things. The concept was started by the Sacco family, who were the first to introduce buffalo wings to the West Coast. In 2018, the company rebranded to Epic Wings and began franchising. The brand has since expanded to several states, including California, Arizona, North Carolina, and Texas.
Epic Wings continues to emphasize its made-to-order approach by operating kitchens without freezers, microwaves, or heat lamps. The brand is focused on maintaining quality while expanding its neighborhood wing spots throughout Southern California and beyond.
