Taco Roos, a sister concept to the ever-growing Thomasville-based chain Cook Out, appears to be on the move again, this time in the Triangle. A permit filed recently in Raleigh indicates that Cook Out has plans to bring the taco concept to 3940 Western Blvd. The location is adjacent to a Cook Out.

The permit calls for interior renovations for a restaurant that will include a drive-thru and seating for seven. The space formerly housed a Subway.

Cook Out has been slowly rolling out their taco concept, with one location open in Thomasville. There is also a location listed as operating in Wilmington. It appears that the Wilmington location operates as a dual-concept within the same building as an existing Cook Out restaurant.

Cook Out has also taken steps to bring a Taco Roos location to the Charlotte area, filing permits earlier this year. There is still no word on when that location might open.

The Taco Roos website offers tacos with various meat options, including ground beef, fried fish and chicken. Other menu items include nachos, bean burritos, cheesy tortillas, chips and sides such as refried beans and guacamole.

The Raleigh location appears to be in the early stages of development. An opening timeline remains unknown at this time.
