Philadelphia’s Northern Liberties neighborhood is set to get a new caffeine boost.Â
Madis Coffee Roasters, operated by the Navrosidis family, is opening its third location on the ground floor of Eight Two Eight, a 55-unit mixed-use residential complex at 828 N. 2nd St., the Philadelphia Business Journal reported.
Documents from the city’s Zoning Board of Adjustment show the new coffee shop is expected to offer 32 seats and employ between 10 and 15 people.
The first Madis Coffee location opened near Drexel University at 3527 Lancaster Ave. in November 2022. Earlier this year, the company launched a second outpost in the Curtis Building at 601 Walnut St.
Madis Coffee Roasters blends specialty coffee, fresh pastries and Mediterranean-inspired brunch options. The cafe appeals to both coffee enthusiasts and casual visitors looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a drink or a bite.
The coffee menu features a variety of hot and iced beverages.Â
Hot drinks include drip coffee, espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, mochas and Americanos. Iced versions and specialty drinks like matcha and chai lattes are also available. Cold brew and nitro cold brew offer a smooth, refreshing alternative.Â
Breakfast and brunch offerings showcase French toast with seasonal berries and whipped cream, loaded and classic egg sandwiches, avocado and hummus toasts and croissants. Salads and sandwiches range from fresh greens and roasted vegetable melts to hearty options such as smoked ham, roasted turkey, tuna melts and grilled chicken on sourdough.
While an exact opening date has not been announced, the shop is expected to operate daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
