A Mexican restaurant celebrated for its authentic cuisine and refreshing margaritas has plans for further expansion.
El PinchoTaco, owned by Sandra Aguirre, currently operates on Meeting Street and is set to open a new location in North Charleston.
While an exact opening date for the North Charleston location has not yet been announced, the restaurant’s Instagram bio reads: “COMING SOON NEW LOCATION – North Charleston area!!”
El Pincho’s menu showcases taqueria favorites, including Mexican street tacos, PinchoQuedadillas, tortas and gorditas. Tortas are soft, hearty sandwiches layered with meats, cheese, vegetables and sauces for a satisfying bite, while gorditas are thick, stuffed corn cakes with a slightly crisp exterior holding savory fillings inside.
A standout is the Steak Tacos, served with a side of rice and melted cheese. Weekly specials include Taco Tuesday featuring tacos all day, with free meals for kids. Torta Thursday offers all tortas throughout the day. Trompo Fridays highlight al pastor and trompo roasted tacos, according to the website.
All menu options are made with fresh ingredients and toppings paired with signature seasoning and sauces.
A selection of flights, including curated mezcal and tequila options, offers bold flavors to explore. The El Palacio de Bellas cocktail balances smoky, sweet and tangy notes, while large caguamas, or bottles of beer, complement the dishes to complete the experience.
“This restaurant is not just another taco spot; it’s a celebration of authentic Mexican cuisine brimming with flavor and freshness. El PinchoTaco invites food lovers and casual diners alike to indulge in a thoughtfully crafted menu that stands out in a city filled with culinary options,” the restaurant’s website reads.
