Southern Charm Coffee Co. opened last fall in Cross Plains. Now, it is looking to expand to Greenbrier with a location at 2481 Highway 41 S. The forthcoming spot, first announced on the brand’s social media earlier this year, is listed as “coming soon” on its Facebook page.
The Cross Plains spot is a drive-thru-only stand that offers coffee beverages, espresso milkshakes, dirty sodas, smoothies, energy drinks and homemade baked goods. Signature drinks include Southern Charm (with white chocolate and creme de menthe), Caramel Apple Lotus (with green apple, gold lotus, cream topper and caramel drizzle) and Lucky Charm (with white chocolate, toasted marshmallow and hazelnut).
“We started with one simple goal: make great coffee convenient, fun and full of charm,” the website states. “Our founders come from one family who share the love and passion for delicious coffee. What began as a dream fueled by espresso and hope is now the hometown spot for lattes, smoothies, milkshakes and community love, all without stepping out of your car.”
Serafina Balderas is the owner behind the brand. Originally from a town outside of Seattle, she was inspired to launch a coffee stand reminiscent of the drive-thru coffee spots common throughout Washington state. When launching Southern Charm, she drew on a decade of experience as a barista to craft the brand.
As of now, an exact opening timeline for the Greenbrier location is unclear. Efforts to get in touch with ownership prior to publication were unsuccessful.
