California-Based Firm Acquires Local Hotel With Cafe

The Aloft Nashville West End hotel has changed hands. California-based Somera Capital Management purchased the hotel for $25 million, according to the Nashville Business Journal.

The 11-story hotel, located near Vanderbilt University and Music Row, features 139 loft-style hotel rooms as well as on-site cafe Re:Fuel by Aloft and W XYZ Bar. Re:Fuel by Aloft features mix-and-match meals and a self-serve coffee bar. W XYZ Bar offers cocktails, beer, wines and snacks, as well as events and music for customers to enjoy.

Real estate investment firm Somera Capital Management, helmed by David Brown and Steve Firestone, is based in Carpinteria, Calif. It holds assets across the country, including hotels in Palm Springs, Santa Barbara and Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Other hotel projects are joining the Nashville area, including The Pendry Nashville, which launched construction this past summer, as previously reported by What Now Nashville.
