The owner of the original Drunken Noodle Thai restaurant has big plans for food carts, a bar and event space in St. Johns.
According to an article from Bridgetown Bites, The Indoor Trio will have a bar, plus three food carts including Drunken Noodle, a Vietnamese cart and a Mediterranean concept at 8714 N Lombard Street. Owner Tyler Pathammavong said there is not an estimated opening date right now, but it is planned to debut sometime in October.
Pathammavong has been involved in Portland’s restaurant scene, for a while, originally opening Drunken Noodle at 5907 N Lombard Street in Portsmouth. What Now Portland previously reported Pathammavong would be opening a new Drunken Noodle restaurant. Now, he is announcing the addition of two other business in the food hall, and he will be operations manager.
The food hall will be next to the Affogato coffee shop and St. Johns Twin Cinemas. This is an area with many bars, coffee shops and public events. Thai restaurants near the soon-to-be-opened business include Thai Cottage and Bua of Siam.
In a video explaining the concept, Pathammavong said the bar will be going in the back of the space. Live music is also being planned near the bar space, and the back side of the building has a garage door for the food carts to travel in and out. The space is still very much in the construction phase.
