A shopping mall in central Oregon is getting a new concept from the owners of Zydeco Kitchen & Cocktails.

It was recently reported by Eat Drink Bend that Stacks Dinner and Delicatessen will be open at 545 SW Powerhouse Drive later this year. This will be a New York-style deli with grab-and-go options. According to the article, the team is hoping to open by the holiday season.

Zydeco Kitchen & Cocktails has been a restaurant in downtown Bend since 2004 opened by Cheri and Steve Helt. Their signature chef, Eric Joppie, will join them in opening the new restaurant. While their current bend location offers main courses like chicken sandwiches, steaks, seafood and pastas, this will be more catered to deli sandwiches and salads.

“Chef Eric Joppie and the rest of the culinary team will offer a menu featuring in-house cured and smoked meats and fish, fresh-caught fish and local fresh vegetables,” says the description on the Old Mill District website. It adds pastrami, corned beef, beet-cured salmon and rotisserie-roasted meats as options.

Stacks Dinner will be in the same plaza as Gap and Bath & Body Works, on the south side of the outdoor mall. The space will feature a patio by the river, and construction is currently underway
