Two restaurants that have been planned for the Beaverton area are set to open sometime later this year.
Bridgetown Bites reported that Hiyaku Buffet will be opening at 15700 NW Blueridge Drive. The owner is Wenzhen Ou, has previous culinary experience in Oregon and is also planning a restaurant called Ajisai Sushi & Steak at 4050 SW 114th Avenue. When What Now Portland reached out for comment, she did not want to give opening dates yet.
On their website for Hiyaku Buffet, it says “Launching soon.” There is no date listed as of now. The Ajisai location currently has signage up in the plaza near Fred Meyer.
The new Hiyaku Buffet is set to be in the former Replay Sports Pub and Arcade Space, which closed in the summer of 2023. The restaurant is on the north side of Beaverton near Elmer’s Kitchen. Other Asian cuisine close by include Bento Teriyaki and Thailand Restaurant.
The menu for Hiyaku has not been confirmed, but it is expected to be Japanese cuisine. Ou specializes in dishes like sushi rolls and buffet-style cuisine.
What Now Portland has reached out to the owner for further comment, and this article may be updated.
