Founded in 2009 by David Levy, coffee wholesaler Xaymaca Coffee is “the leading coffee importer and distributor of Jamaica’s Blue Mountain Coffee and the US representative of Coffee Traders Limited—the #1 Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee producer both in quantity and quality.”

Now, the wholesaler appears to be moving into the brick-and-mortar cafe space. Plan review paperwork submitted by Xaymaca Coffee Traders LLC shows a new cafe called Origins Cafe planned for Tamarac.

Origins Cafe would open at 6805 W Commercial Boulevard, between Northwest 70th Avenue and Northwest 66th Terrace. There, it would join a retail center that houses restaurants like Chow Time Grill & Buffet and Trino Restaurant.

What Now reached out to David Levy on Tuesday to ask about plans for Origins Cafe. Levy was not immediately available to discuss plans for a new Tamarac coffee spot, but stay tuned for possible updates as more information is released.
